Review of Sweet Land (2005) by Timothy F — 11 Jun 2008
While there are some good performances, the errors added up and annoyed me. The plot didn't have much of a climax, which I'm okay with, but I don't think the writers researched much into early 1900s Minnesota.
The farms (esp. Fransen's foreclosing one) seemed to be too wealthy-looking; the way Olaf and Inge worked didn't seem realistic. Oh well. It's a nice film.
