Review of Sweet Land (2005) by Mike M — 29 Aug 2008

.. Matinee showings on Channel Five would appear to be its ultimate fate, but it remains a sincere, warm-hearted, emotionally satisfying picture with an eye-catching performance - mostly in unsubtitled German - from the pale-skinned, russet-haired Reaser.
She's one to watch; so too, on this evidence, is Selim.
