Review of Sweet Home Alabama (2002) by Harold L — 25 Apr 2010
I didn't hate it....it just wasn't good.
Sweet Home Alabama is a run of the mill comedy/romance with Reese Witherspoon and Josh Lucas. I like both Lucas and With-my-spoon, but the movie does them no justice. Sure they both can act and do. There are a couple of roles in here that are just straight up annoying, especially Candice Bergen. I never liked her or Murphy Brown but she just plain pisses me off in this role. I'm guessing she can't get good work.(not that she ever really did).
Patrick Dempsey is being Patrick Dempsey and that is as much as I can say for him. I like Patrick Dempsey though, so don't get me wrong.
If you've ever seen a ramance/comedy before you've seen this but most likly you've seen this done better. See it or don't. It won't matter. It's just forgettable crap for woman to watch.
