Review of Sweet Charity (1969) by Kristal C — 22 Sep 2008

I had only previously known Ms MacLaine as a "psychic lady" due to her later work; it's cool to see her as a singer-dancer. I have wanted to see this movie for a very long time b/c of the work of Bob Fosse, especially the Big Spender number.

I'm not sure if this was the best movie for me to see at the time due to recent personal events and the way in which this story line of the movie unfolds (and the alternate ending isn't what I'm speaking of).

Then again, perhaps this ending is some sort of look at hope for me.
