Review of Sweet Bird of Youth (1962) by Chesty M — 04 Apr 2008
This was MUCH better than the heavily censored version of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". Page plays the washed-up actress hoping for a second shot at stardom. Newman is the pitiful sycophant with a thirst for fame.
Although it did not go by the book, it added its own charm. VERY southern, VERY dramatic. Fine acting, great casting.
