Review of Sweet and Lowdown (1999) by Tony B — 18 May 2008
Interesting, colourful film, though I think Sean Penn over does it in this, his acting goes off as a too cartoonish. I loved Samantha Morton, very cute. Uma Thurman also does a fine job. Woody Allen does a great job writing and directing, but I think Penn work as Emmet Ray seamed more like a caricature of someone else and it kind of annoyed me.
