Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by David W — 23 Jul 2012
Really good! This is the best Johnny Depp/Tim Burton collaboration since Edward Scizzorhands! The singing was really surprising...there a few songs there I may actually have to buy. curse you tim burton! You can't help but love Johnny Depp as the psychotic vengeful barber S.
Todd, Helen Bonham-Carter as Mrs. Lovitt, and Alan Rickman was good as always as the villain. The whole leadup to his death(and finale) is superb..quite tragic tho since I like him so much..heh. And who doesn't want to see a singing Borat get killed by Johnny Depp? Yay!
