Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by Manu S — 06 Oct 2012

This is Tim Burton at his bets. The director framed the old character into a new concept and though the singing while conversing seems boring but Johnny Depp's voice and expression makes it far more interesting.

Helena Bonham Carter also does a good job. All the killing looks depressing but that effect is counterfeit by the music. Lyrics also are handpicked and quite good. A must watch for all Tim Burton's fan.
