Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by Amanda H — 06 Jun 2013

Obviously, nothing about this movie (or the stage musical it's based on) is for the faint-hearted. But considering that, I thought this movie was well-done. Just enough gore that it does the job, but in such a way that it doesn't make its audience uncomfortable.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about how phony the murder scenes looked, but in my opinion, that was kind of the point. Come on now. It's Tim Burton. What do you expect?
