Review of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) by Javan W — 06 Oct 2012

A madly crafted film about a barber who takes pleasure in cutting more than just his customers hair, Sweeney Todd is Tim Burton's best film since Edward Scissorhands and its not hard to see why. With alot of his past films being all child's play (Charlie and The Chocolate Factory), it's about time Tim Burton delved back into that Gothic aura that established him at the start of his successful career.

Although musicals don't usually catch my eye on most occasions, Sweeney Todd has such a vivid and colorful cast to back it's interesting plot that even the musical notes fit well with the film's graphic nature.

Definitely one of the years best and most interesting films!
