Review of Swamp Thing (1982) by Ryan M — 06 Oct 2007
This film is yet another reminder about how movies that frightened, looked cool, or freaked me out as a kid are really just big cheesefests. Needless to say, that's what this film is. However, the scene where the one guy changes into the midget beast was still slightly freaky and nifty looking.
The same goes for the evil professor who changed into that ridiculous looking wolf beast, which looked worse than some of the masks I've worn for Halloween. However, this movie is still an enjoyable campy journey.
It makes me wonder if a studio is planning to make Swamp Thing into a serious modern day film. I think I would go and see it.
