Review of Swamp Thing (1982) by Jesse B — 25 May 2008
This film is pretty bad and cheesy even for 1982 the effects are horrible. just a bunch od scenes of guys in suit. now my question is why couldn't ray wise play swamp thing since it is his character he's not that small.
While it does remind you of comic book with the story the lettering the villian. the camera wipes.but the fight scenes are boring and not exciting. just throwing a buncho f guys around and people falling.
This movie might have been effective if it was made in the 1950's as a monster movie but it just doesn't cut it today.
If it had a budget where did the money go this movie looks cheap.
The only bright spot in this movie was the character of jude and the kid who played him he should get his own movie. now I get a hint of where the characters of forrest gump and napoleon dynamite came from a dumbed down version of jude.
Plus if you get the dvd they cut out the infamous topless shot of adrienne barbeau.
