Review of Suspiria (2018) by Zöe J — 12 Nov 2018
It is important not to reduce Guadagnino's version of the original to the status of a tired remake. This is undoubtedly a signature interpretation, and its austere nature will rule out any chance of consensus.
It was everything an art horror film can be: riveting, unsettling, delicate, and driven. The plot is satiating enough to leave one in a haze when the lights go up. Bravo Guadagnino.
