Review of Suspiria (2018) by Tj S — 06 Nov 2018
Just the fact that this film stayed with me like it did. I highly recommend it. It plays like an arthouse film and even though it is not super scary-the ending is damn powerful. Completely different from the original.
This one goes much deeper and even contains the local politics of Berlin, Germany and the aftermaths of the second world war as well. It is a trippy film, colorful and shot from a 1000 angles. Not for everyone, Not your standard blood and gore film and not predictable which is what I liked about it.
You can almost feel the power and the seduction of the occult in this one, and yes there is Ritual. That's a rare thing these days to see in a horror film.
