Review of Suspiria (1977) by Nate A — 06 Nov 2011
There isn't too much going on plot-wise here. In fact, there's barely any plot at all. This movie is all about style and ambience which it has in spades. In fact, I can't think of another film that looks quite like this. Brightly colored with lights streaked across the set and it still manages to be horrific (the soundtrack helps a little too). There's a real gothic quality to the film as well which I really enjoyed.
Not particularly scary, but this is fantastic filmmaking.
