Review of Suspiria (1977) by Ian P — 31 Mar 2013
A classic supernatural horror movie by fame Italian director Dario Argento and part of his The Three Mothers trilogy. What makes this movie notable is the use of primary colors throughout the scenes of the movie to evoke emotions and feelings from the watchers which is mostly about fear, dark, creepiness, thrill, nervousness and suspense.
Of course, that also adds up to the horror element of the movie and supports the main story of the movie about uncovering a secret coven of witches running a dance school. The movie has a good premise and story as a whole for a supernatural horror movie but I wish some details of the story were explained further especially the ending part which I felt very short as a conclusion for the credits to roll right away.
It could have been extended a bit more to give a clear explanation at the climax of the story. Suspiria is rumoured to be remake but as of now, its status it pending.
