Review of Suspiria (1977) by Doug P — 07 Sep 2014
How this movie keeps getting such high praise after all these years is beyond me. It's like an inside joke that thousands think they're in on, but are actually the butt of. Sure, it's colorful, but that's where the intrigue ends.
The frequently praised score required no musical skill and the story is so outlandish that anyone not succumbing to the cult of wanna-be artistes who praise this movie will simply be left shaking their head.
If I want colors and ominous sound I'll go observe a kindergarten art class.
