Review of Suspiria (1977) by Wezul S — 30 Oct 2014
Despite its numerous plot contrivances that spontaneously occur to accommodate the plot moving forward, Dario Argento's Suspiria should be treated - more than it already is - as a blueprint for successfully utilizing and perfecting the right atmosphere and score in horror movies, as its narrative takes a backseat to the overwhelmingly creepy atmosphere and score, which is just about enough to cement Suspiria as one of the best horror movies ever made.
