Review of Suspicion (1941) by Victoria W — 22 Jun 2007
Perhaps one of Hitchcocks more subtle films, Suspicion moves along at a very unassuming pace until Hitch delivers his back-hand to our ungaurded cheek. Without spoiling the surprise; it should be noted that this ending was not Hitchcocks original choice.
Joan Fontaine won an Oscar for her role. Nigel Bruce is delightful as 'Beaky' and Heather Angel appears in a small role as Ethel.
