Review of Suspect (1987) by Jluis_001 — 07 Jul 2023
It felt like an episode of Law and Order before Law and Order existed, if that makes sense.
That might have been a redeemable feature in terms of entertainment, but if you add flaws that only undermine its potential, like the sheer implausibility of its storyline coupled with Cher's inability to convincingly embody her role as a lawyer, the apparent lack of commitment from Dennis Quaid in his performance and that Liam Neeson and Joe Mantegna are just there for decoration, everything is lost in a mess that lacks any real suspense, leaving little room for salvaging the film's integrity.
