Review of Surviving Christmas (2004) by Dylan D — 05 Jun 2006

Even though this wasn't the best movie in the world it wasn't as bad as a lot of critics say it was. I think they unfairly judged this. I was actually impressed by Ben Affleck who is usually always good, but he kind of played something a little different then what I am used to him being in.

He was actually kind of funny at times and made me laugh quite frequentlly. Also, the beautiful Christina Applegate was a great addition and she really helped the movie out. Really everyone was just fine, but this movie lacked a real story and it tried to mix comedy and drama into one and it didn't really work.

I think it would have been much better off if it was just a comedy. Despite all of the flaws, Surviving Christmas isn't the worst movie but I was expecting a little bit more out of it.
