Review of Surviving Christmas (2004) by Tobias L — 28 Oct 2006
A simple and enjoyable Christmas Comedy. Ben Affleck was suited to the role of Drew, while James Gandolfini was great as well. Despite the critics mauling this movie, they just need to remember, it was merely a Christmas comedy. Despite there being nothing original in the script, it does have a few funny moments, they are too few of them though.
The film loses itself at the end, as it trys to become a serious drama focusing on family. Just like many other X-mas comedies. Overall, not as bad as the critics make out, but at the same time, isn't as good as it should have been.
