Review of Survival of the Dead (2010) by Steven B — 22 May 2010
Zombie films donâ??t normally do much for me and this isnâ??t much of an exception. It seems George Romero is going to keep on making these as long as people go see them. I watched it â??on demandâ?? on TV because I was bored and had nothing better to do. It really isnâ??t a bad film if this is your sort of thing. There is an attempt at a plot of sorts and a bit of black humor thrown in as well. Frankly Iâ??m not sure why Romero keeps after this; itâ??s turning into one very long movie and this one does not stick a fork in it at all.
If you really like Zombie films â??ZombieLandâ?? is far better and a sequel is in the planning stages. If you can find it, rent â??Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse In Love,â?? itâ??s a hoot!
As to seeing this one in the theaters? I guess itâ??ll make enough money for Romero to go on and on and on and mores the pity.
