What surprises me the most about "Survival of the Dead" is that it looks more like a very bad parody of a George Romero movie, rather than being a legitimate entry into the long running series of zombie movies.
There's very little semblance of Romero's signature social commentary or themes, as if what were left with now is one of the undead zombies that stagger about in this movie.
