Review of Surveillance (2008) by Sonika B — 15 Aug 2009
A brutal film which could easily have been just plain bad. The part that really made me think: 'Yes, this one is good' is the centre-piece involving crooked cops pulling over three innocent cars. It was so simple, so effective and so believable.
The direction is pretty good, and Bill Pullman's FBI agent is a thing to behold, particularly when his character-shift kicks in. The violence is a bit too strong, and ultimately 'Surveillance' is no more than a decent mystery-thriller.
