Review of Surveillance (2008) by Chris M — 21 Aug 2009
Two FBI agents (Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond) investigate a vicious murder on the highway. There's three witnesses, a junkie, a low life cop and a little girl. The agents try to uncover the truth from each witness.
I think the movie was gritty and well made until it unveils who the killer is. Then it falls apart and worked less for me. But the actors at least try hard to pull it off. It's kind of like A Perfect Getaway where it throws a twist at us that doesn't work too well. Yet, just like A Perfect Getaway, the movie comes alive more after we get that silly twist that barely works.
