Review of Surveillance (2008) by Connie F — 11 May 2010
Jennifer's Lynch's directorial debut - "Boxing Helena" - was pretty bad. Dig around here and you'll find my review of it.
This, however, was much better - despite the lapses into emulating her father with some of the shots and the way things were handled.
The story itself is pretty by-the-numbers, and if you can't figure out the twist before it's revealed, you probably shouldn't be watching movies like this.
It's not great, but it doesn't suck. It has its moments, but it misfires a couple of times. All in all, it's worth the 90 minutes it'll take to watch.
