Review of Surveillance (2008) by Valéria V — 08 Dec 2010
While Lynch's second movie is better than Boxing Helena (then again anything is), this is a really dark and ultimately demoralising movie with a series of twisted moments. It has some David Lynch like moments in terms of camerawork and photography but none of the real beauty or visionary.
Solid cast, but I'm willing to bet a first watch is all you'll ever want from this.
Brutal, hostile and never sways from that path.
