Review of Surveillance (2006) by Sylvain A — 31 Aug 2009
Pretty disappointing. The ending is guessable from quite early on and from then on out its just a matter of waiting for the inevitable. There's nothing particularly clever about this movie and the director has to cheat in order to keep the reveal til the end.
This is done by telling the story fairly thoroughly for most of the movie and then conveniently missing a big chunk of it out when it gets to the crunch. Even without this pivotal scene it's still obvious what's going on, making the whole thing too tedious to even be saved by BP and JO.
Decent acting, weak plot, poor story telling.
