Review of Surf's Up (2007) by Donovan C — 05 Apr 2011
Penguins + surfing + fun music = a good time. This movie is "shot" in a documentary style and I think the movie's better for it. Shia Labouf plays an aspiring surfer who gets the chance to compete in the biggest competition in the world.
Along the way he learns more about himself, his idol, and the sport he loves so much. The movie is a great surf movie, a great "growing up" tale, and a lot of fun.
