Review of Surf's Up (2007) by Jonathan A — 15 Jan 2010
America's love affair with penguins continues in this surprisingly fresh parody on "Happy Feet" and "March of the Penguins" about a surfing penguin with a supersized ego who learns a thing or two about friendships and his craft.
A little bit predictable from the angle of a sports film, but the story ends up being somewhat satisfying. The humor tends to be a little sophomoric at times, but also can be best described as falling into the "something-for-everyone" category.
Voice acting was also very engaging from the young cast. Overall, not a bad way to kill an hour-and-a-half.
