Review of Surf Nazis Must Die (1987) by Nathan N — 08 Jun 2008
With a title like this 'Surf Nazis Must Die', you'd be easily forgiven for imagining that this would-be cult classic might deliver some real b-movie thrills and chills. How disappointing, then, that the title is the best thing about this flaccid, clumsily paced 'action' thriller.
It's a story about a hefty grandmother (Gail Neely as 'Mama' Washington, the only other plus this thing has going for it) on a rampage against the post-apocalyptic surf maniacs who killed her only grandson.
.. how the heck could this have made a bad film? Watch 'Surf Nazis' and find out. Seriously, this boring, flatly executed affair is an exercise in blown opportunities, and a waste of a great title to boot.
