Review of Surf Nazis Must Die (1987) by Tedward B — 26 Jun 2008
With a name like that, you'd think it would be a real gem... unfortunately, even the great premise could not save this movie. An old black lady sets out to avenge the death of her son by taking out the prevailing post-apocalyptic-earthquake-stricken-LA gang, the "Surf Nazis" (a group of neo-Nazis whose preferred mode of travel is surf board) with a handgun she buys at a pawn shop.
Spoiler Alert: if you really don't wanna know the ending, stop reading. The conclusion? She hunts them all down and kills them (in spectacular fashion too - one Surf Nazi gets her head cut clean off by a speed boat!).
All the elements were there, it was just a little TOO cheap and tacky to really be a cult classic. Probably worth watching anyway, if only for bragging rights.
