Review of Supernova (2000) by Edward F — 29 Apr 2011
As far as technical exercises in special effects go, "Supernova" is one of the few movies whose CGI makes up for the lamebrain plot and characters. "Supernova" is your run of the mill PG-13 slasher flick with little characterization, no depth in plot, and little to no suspense.
That said, "Supernova" looks great with convincing shots of the galaxy and a high production value. I give "Supernova a slight recommendation for those who know what they're getting themselves into.
This is a brainless exercise in special effects that make up for it with it's imagination.
