Review of Supernova (2000) by Stevie S — 24 Feb 2012
This one really isn't as bad as people say. Sure James Spader looks like an alcoholic who doesn't really want to be there, but the rest of the crew is enthusiastic enough. I love how they're naked like all the time.
it's like "hey guys we're gonna jump to another galaxy TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES!!!!" (sure didn't help the fucking captain now did it?) Okay so the acting is pretty lame, but it's funny not brutal.
And I'll admit the movie is kinda lacking in plot. Not a whole lot happens for like an hour, not saying it's boring just a little slow. Lou has some space sex, the ship almost explodes (no fucking clue how that happened), more space sex, then they pick up some dude with an alien artifact and Lou makes out with it all day.
Done. Well, maybe a little more space sex. Then everyone starts droppin'. It all happens so fast. It felt like they were just killing the crew off to get to the end. Anyway I enjoyed the movie, I just wish they took more time with the deaths.
And the James Spader claw fight near the end - EPIC.
