Review of Superman vs. The Elite (2012) by Matthew L — 14 Jun 2012
There is more to this story than meets the eye, along with great animation, voice acting and great writing, the story operates on a number of levels giving the audience much to think about as the moral code that has been a mainstay of Superman modus operandi is turned upon its head when a new group of 'heroes' turn up and show they have no reservations about executing their foes.
Its a brilliantly told story with Superman continuing to take the high ground in the age old argument of whether he should use his powers and simply eliminate his foes rather than imprisoning them for them to eventually return at a later date and cause more havoc.
As the man of steel himself says he is not 'judge, jury and executioner' leading to the eventual question of how far will Superman go to defeat The Elite?
