Review of Superman Returns (2006) by Ellie M — 23 Mar 2016
I thought that it was well done when it came to being a sequel to the Reeves films. Also I liked that it took a while to see some real action and instead took time to set up the story. It is very annoying sometimes when the script just jumps into a plot and doesn't do the set up, but I guess that depends on the movie. For this movie it worked for me.The acting is super with the exception of the woman who plays Lois Lane. I always wondered (SPOILER!) what it would be like if superman and lois had a child together. And I am glad that they FINALLY explored that idea. Sam Huntington played a great Jimmy Olsen. I also want to point out that the lack of action is not a bad thing, because there could be to much of it (MOS). The semi corny Lex Luthor makes it feel more like it came right out of a comic book (which I guess it did, kind of).
Sorry that I am all over the place in this review, I just kept thinking of stuff I liked about SR.
