Review of Superman Returns (2006) by John B — 25 Dec 2014
Brandon Routh's portrayal of Superman lacks charm and is quite simply boring, although a great deal of that was due to the fact that the writers didn't give the character enough room to develop.
It tries too hard to ride off the coattails of Superman I and II, which were pretty good Superman movies. It's still a fun watch, and I think some of the cinematography (especially one screen transition) was quite clever actually.
I hope that Man of Steel is better than this movie.
