Review of Superman Returns (2006) by Charlie B — 24 Nov 2013

I enjoyed this movie. It doesn't mix its light elements with its darker moments well, struggling sometimes to decide what type of movie it wants to be. Overlooking the fact that there's not a lot of action going on throughout the movie, it has some proper 'wow' moments (airplane, I'm looking at you) that make it memorable.

I do object to using Kevin Spacey for the role of Lex Luthor - He pulls it off extremely well, but his face is too recognizable from other roles and he just doesn't have that mysterious, secretly threatening face that his comic-book counterpart does.
