Review of Superman III (1983) by Copasetic S — 10 Jan 2010

Second sequel is a real mixed bag of a movie. On the upside it's fun, the performances are good, the effects are nice, some of the humor works, there's some good action scenes, the score is decent, and the film looks good.

On the other hand the the plot is flimsy and really just an excuse to show off the effects, the tone is too cartoonish this time, the villains are pretty weak, and Lois Lane is sorely missed. Not a terrible film, but unlike the first two this time you get the feeling that not everyone involved was doing this from the heart.

I think the producers saw only dollar signs.
