Review of Superman III (1983) by Patrick L — 30 Sep 2011
The third Superman movie. You'd expect a continuation of the first two - only you get less. Lois Lane's part is incredibly small, which after the events of the second movie seems to make sense.
However, she's still an integral character and needed more screen time. The chemistry between her and Clark/Superman is pretty much non-existent. I did like the humor that Richard Pryor added to the movie - it was different.
The only thing IMO that saves this movie from being completely poor is the idea of Bizarro Superman (not exactly, but something similar). Nowhere near the quality of the previous two, and rather disappointing - considering the first two were quite good.
It needed to follow the events of II, not go off on a different tangent.
