Far more a slapstick affair than the previous two entries (and all the worse for it), this is most noticeable for being the film in which Superman goes (temporarily) bad, as all superheroes seem to inevitably do. Pity this film is the point at which the series also does the same ...
(oh, and a bit of trivia for you: Annette O'Toole, who plays Lana Lang here, would later go on to play the part of Martha Kent - i.e. Supermans Mum - in Smallville!).
