Review of Superman III (1983) by Coltin L — 23 Nov 2014

I didn't hate it. Actually I found it enjoyable and funny for the most part. The problem with this film was that it didn't know how to stop the humour and get serious. The first two Supermans had the right balance of humour and plot to make it fun to watch.

This movie had too much silliness and not enough plot details. I liked the Superman vs Bad Superman scenes and Webster did fine as the villain. The big problem with this film was Richard Pryor. He trainwrecked this movie.

Too many scenes focussed on him bumbling around. They could have cut a lot of his part and the film would have been a lot better. Lois is missing for most of the movie and Lana really isn't an acceptable replacement so I think that part failed as well.

All in all, Superman III wasn't a very good movie but it wasn't that bad either.
