Review of Superman III (1983) by Mike R — 08 Jun 2013

This movie is a complete disaster. I have no idea why they thought Richard Pryor would make a great antagonist to battle Superman. He does a terrible job in this film which is sad as he is immensely talented.

He isn't the only problem. Lester returns to direct and brings a full onslaught of silliness its really depressing. This has a few saving graces. Reeve brings another great performance as Superman.

Annette O'toole as Lana Lang does a really sweet job. I wish they would have kept her around in the next film. I also enjoyed Superman fighting his evil self and the end fight with the super computer is a guilty pleasure.

Overall a crap film but it is at least watchable.
