Review of Superman II (1980) by Matthew D — 01 May 2018
The central story is a compelling one and is carried off as well as possible by the strong cast, however, it's impact is lessened by numerous odd choices, small and large, by the filmmakers. From ill-placed humour to a seemingly random and unexplained creation of superpowers simply to move the plot along, a monumental amount of potential is squandered.
