Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Derek W — 13 Jul 2008

I was really disappointed with this movie b/c it spliced the death and rebirth of superman which took away from the superb battle sequence b/w these two mammoths and stole the soul of the good nature that superman gave his life for Metropolis with one last desperate blow.

I also hated how it completely for the most part ignored the comics. It would probably been better if they at least stayed true to the comics and divided it into two stories. The Death of Superman and the Return of Superman(resurrection).

There is enough stories from the comics to support two movies.
