Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Habib E — 27 Dec 2008
The cast and crew do a competent job with the storyline, but they don't have much to work with. Looking at the original comics, I think the best part of the trilogy was "Funeral for a Friend", showing how everyone reacted to Superman's death.
However, since this film doesn't feature the wider DC universe (e.g. Batman doesn't appear), that limits what they can really do. On the plus side, there are a couple of good ideas in there.
