Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Shawn E — 11 May 2012
Superman (Adam Baldwin) is confronted by a seemingly unstoppable alien monster that winds up killing him. Lois Lane (Anne Heche) is understandably devastated, but Lex Luthor (James Marsters) has shady plans for the Man of Steel's DNA.
Superman: Doomsday was the first in a series of direct-to-DVD superhero movies produced by the acclaimed Bruce Timm. This one has a sharp cast and good animation, but the lumpy story and maudlin dialogue make it difficult for me to like the film.
I'd only recommend it to diehard Superman fans.
