Review of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009) by Angel O — 11 Feb 2010
I always liked the World's Finest Comics: Superman & Batman where they partner up and this film did capture some of that element but I something got lost from the graphic novel. The movie animation is top notch and starts out as if it's from today's headlines, with a bit of Watchmen thrown in, the film quickly goes from being clever to just one endless super-slug fest after another.
I thought the Superman animated tv series had some better episodes similar to this story. Plus WB-DC seems intent on not producing one of these feature films for the under 13 crowd. ( Guess they still have a lot more Superfriends episodes to release.
) It's a fun ride for older fans but not for the under 13 crowd as the violence gets a bit intense.
