Review of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009) by Luis B — 01 Dec 2010
I never read the books that Public Enemies was based on but for the most part this STV animated film was alright. The animation was o.k; I gotta admit that the shadowing on alot of the faces was annoying.
The voice work didnt seem very lively. Not that iam looking for obnoxious like most animated comic cartoons (spider-man & X-Men 90's cartoons anyone) But Superman and Batmans voices just kinda sounded the same with out any levels.
On the plus side it was great to see a virtual who's who in the D.C. rogues gallery. The story moves along well and the action was good. I was actually kinda digging the whole thing until the end.
But like most Jeph Loeb stories, its starts good but ends mediocre.
